Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Koyit LLC, doing business as Looking Later (“Looking Later,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites — lookinglater.com and its subdomains (the “Sites”) — and in the Looking Later iOS app (the “App”). It works together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information generally.
The short version: our Sites use a small number of strictly necessary technologies, plus analytics cookies (Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager) that help us understand how the Sites are used. Where the law requires it, analytics cookies are set only after you consent. The App doesn’t use cookies at all, and we do not use cookies to sell your information or to serve ads.
1. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember things between visits. Similar technologies include local storage (data saved by your browser or an app on your device), pixels, and software development kits (SDKs) inside apps. Cookies can be “first-party” (set by us) or “third-party” (set by someone else through our Sites), and they can be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (kept until they expire or you delete them).
2. What we use today
Strictly necessary technologies. Our hosting providers (Framer for our main website; Cloudflare for link.lookinglater.com) may set essential cookies or use local storage where needed to deliver the Sites securely — for example, for load balancing or protecting against malicious traffic. These are required for the Sites to work and don’t identify you for any other purpose.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Sites are used — for example, which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>, which distinguish visitors and persist for up to two years. Google processes this information on our behalf; we use it to improve the Sites, not to serve advertising.
Tag management (Google Tag Manager). We use Google Tag Manager to load and control measurement tags like Google Analytics. Tag Manager itself is a loader and does not set advertising or tracking cookies of its own.
Built-in site analytics. Our website platform (Framer) also provides aggregate, cookieless page-view counts.
The App. The App does not use cookies. It keeps you signed in using secure authentication tokens and stores your settings on your device — these are essential to providing the service you’ve asked for, and they’re covered in our Privacy Policy.
We do not use: advertising or ad-measurement cookies, social-media pixels, or cross-site retargeting, and we do not use analytics data to build advertising profiles. We do not sell personal information collected through cookies. If we ever introduce advertising cookies or begin “sharing” information for cross-context advertising as defined by California law, we will update this policy first and honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control.
3. Consent and regional rules
EEA and United Kingdom. Under the ePrivacy rules (in the UK, PECR), strictly necessary cookies don’t require consent, but analytics cookies do. If you visit from the EEA or the UK, we ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any analytics cookies are set, and Google Analytics runs in accordance with your choice (using Google’s Consent Mode). You can change your mind at any time through the cookie settings on the Sites, and declining analytics never affects your ability to use the Sites or the App.
United States (including California). We use analytics cookies to understand Site usage, with Google acting as our service provider. We do not “sell” personal information through cookies, and we do not use them for cross-context behavioral advertising (“sharing” under the California Consumer Privacy Act). Your broader privacy rights are described in our Privacy Policy.
Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. Information collected through cookies and similar technologies is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles, PIPEDA, and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 respectively.
4. Your choices
Cookie banner and settings. Where a consent banner is shown, you can accept or decline analytics cookies there, and change your choice later through the cookie settings on the Sites.
Google Analytics opt-out. You can opt out of Google Analytics in any browser with Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings (typically under Privacy or Site Data). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Sites from working.
Device controls. iOS lets you manage app-level privacy in Settings, including resetting identifiers and controlling permissions such as location and notifications.
Deleting App data. Deleting the App removes its locally stored data from your device; deleting your account removes your data from our systems as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Changes to this policy
If we start using new categories of cookies or similar technologies — for example, if we add analytics cookies or advertising in the future — we will update this policy, change the “Last updated” date above, and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before those technologies are used.
